Dr Elizabeth Stockdale

Elizabeth Stockdale has led farming systems research at Niab for the last decade. She has integrated research and knowledge exchange in a range of projects focused on soil and nutrient management with a focus on improving productivity and reducing the environmental impacts of agriculture. Notably, Elizabeth has developed farmer-focused soil health toolkits, developed and guidance to support net zero agriculture as well as climate change adaptation, and brought farmers’ voices into discussions about the policy for UK lowland peat landscapes.

As Director of Cropping Systems, Elizabeth will build upon Niab’s highly regarded agronomy research services and continue to bridge the gap between scientific research and on-farm impact. By leveraging innovation and entrepreneurial skills, Elizabeth aims to create opportunities to implement solutions that generate impact and inform practical and integrated management of cropping systems.
