This workshop was held on 1 Febuary 2024 at Morley as part of the CHCx3 series, exploring how cover crops can be used to improve resilience and increase carbon capture in your soils
The day included:
- Field tour of our ongoing cover crop trials
- Morning workshop: Overview of the long-term Morley trials
- Afternoon workshops focusing on cover crop agronomy and carbon capture
- Refreshments throughout the day and lunch.
Desired outcomes:
- Better understanding of which cover crop species to choose and to mix
- Understand the agronomic requirements for the chosen cover crops
- Improved knowledge of how to use cover crops to increase soil organic matter and carbon capture
- Exchange knowledge between farmers and researchers
