Join like-minded farmers, growers, researchers and producers at our Open Days on 16th and 17th July 2026 where crops including lentils, chickpeas, lupins, buckwheat, hemp, flax and sunflower will be demonstrated.

The Novel and Underutilised Crop Network (NUCNet) is a BBSRC funded network dedicated to supporting the development of novel and underutilised crops in the UK. The Network is a collaborative partnership between Niab, University of Reading, University of Southampton and James Hutton Institute.

Programme

Both days run from 10.00-1.00, with refreshments and lunch available

A mix of indoor presentations on trhe project and related work, plus in the field crop demonstrations. There will be a walk to the demonstration field so wear appropriate footwear.
