PhD Student - Quantitative Genetics
Maegan Green

BBSRC-funded iCASE PhD student based jointly at the University of Cambridge and Niab, in collaboration with KWS UK as the industrial partner. I joined Dr. Tally Wright's Quantitative Genetics Group, where my research focuses on enhancing the capture of genetic diversity while maintaining local adaptation in wheat pre-breeding.

My project involves developing and evaluating methods to enhance and quantify genetic diversity capture in both hybrid and inbred wheat pre-breeding programmes. This work combines simulation and validation approaches to improve the effective parental evaluation and use of plant genetic resources in wheat pre-breeding.
