Daisy Garrett

PhD student in plant pathology developing strategies for the control of ergot (Claviceps purpurea) on farm. This work involves assessing agronomic practices on ergot infection levels, targeting the early stages of Cp lifecycle. Additionally, I will develop novel methods to identify and exclude ergot sclerotia during and post-harvest to reduce secondary spread and grain contamination by ergot alkaloids.
