As a member of the BASIS professional register and FACTs (Hort) Qualified Advisor, Ben delivers advanced technical growing advice from Niab’s Park Farm protected environment facility, supporting a wide range of crop sectors including ornamentals, fruit, vegetables, cereals, and legumes.

His work directly supports Niab’s mission to accelerate innovation and sustainability through practical, science-driven solutions across agriculture and horticulture.

In his business development capacity, Ben leverages his extensive commercial background to translate new ideas into actionable research and development trials. He works collaboratively with Niab’s partners and customers to shape innovative projects, de-risk emerging technologies, and deliver measurable outcomes for industry adoption.

Ben’s combined technical and commercial experience makes him a key contributor to the development and scaling of innovative horticultural and Agri-tech solutions within Niab’s research and innovation programmes.

As part of Ben’s wider role, he actively promotes knowledge exchange across commercial horticulture, delivers a protected horticulture best practice training course through Niab training and is a 2026 LSA Fellow.”
