NIAB is delighted to announce that Dr Keith Gardner has been appointed Programme Leader in Quantitative Genetics, responsible for the organisation’s expanding quantitative genetics and biostatistics capability.
Keith has worked as a senior research scientist in the Genetics and Breeding team at NIAB for the past four years. He previously led the generation of the NIAB wheat MAGIC genetic map, has developed MAGIC resources, and has been involved in QTL analysis, association mapping and genomic selection studies at NIAB.
In his new role Keith will continue to co-ordinate large scale statistical analyses of genetic and phenotypic datasets and expand NIAB’s capabilities in this area through collaborative research, partnerships and training.
