We are looking for a self-motivated team player to work in our Trial Services Team at Cambridge, who has an interest in precision farming and is wanting a varied and interesting role. This position will provide the practical aspects of delivering trials and commercial cropping using up-to-date equipment and RTK GPS. The role has 2 main areas of delivery:

• Providing Agronomy advice, recommendation and implementation on a wide range of arable and horticultural trials, for which BASIS and FACTS qualifications would be a requirement. This will also include managing the irrigation facility and provision from the centre.

• Assisting with the practical trials and commercial farming delivery which will require the setting up and operating of agricultural/horticultural machinery. Prior experience in machinery operation would be essential.

Other responsibilities for this role will include staff management, being part of the Health and Safety team, agrochemical, seed and fertiliser ordering, record keeping and involvement in Open Days/Events as necessary.

Starting salary is in the range of £30,042 to £39,640 pa, dependent on skills, experience and qualifications. You will be expected to work overtime which will be paid at 1.5 normal salary.
