Join us in our Centenary year – celebrating 100 years since NIAB was founded as “an all-purpose scientific institution for agricultural botany, concerned with the education of persons looking to improve agricultural crops across the United Kingdom.”

NIAB has grown in size and remit since 1919, and continues to grow, taking its place as the UK’s fastest growing independent crop science organisation. The 2019 NIAB Cambridge Open Day offers expert independent advice and research on variety choice, plant breeding, crop agronomy, plant protection, soils and cultivations with a mix of seminars, science exhibits and crop plot demonstrations. Plus take a look back at 100 years of plant breeding, varieties and crop science.
