Showcasing the latest arable advice and research from UK agri-businesses, breeders, manufacturers and research organisations at the forefront of agri-tech innovation and technology, research and commercial enterprise. Free to attend, the event features a mix of exhibits and field-based demonstrations that enable attendees to interact with leading industry experts.

Event timetable

9.30am Registration and farmyard exhibits open
10.15am NIAB TAG field demonstration tours start
11.30am   AHDB Arable Connections – Monitor Farms Debate 
12.00-1.30pm   Hog roast lunch
3.00pm  Final field tour starts
4.00pm Event closes

Attendees can register at any time from 10am through to 3pm. Please leave two hours free to complete field tours.

IN THE FIELD

NIAB TAG demonstration plots

NIAB TAG champions the role of independent variety and agronomic research, with the UK’s largest farmer and industry membership base providing impartial information and on-farm advice. Tour groups start from farmyard at regular intervals from 10.15am through to 3.00pm. Allow two hours for full NIAB TAG tour.

  • Winter wheat varieties - Clare Leaman and Ian Midgley
  • Oilseed rape varieties – Simon Kightley
  • Cereal disease management - Bill Clark
  • Soil management and rotations, including AHDB GREATsoils - Elizabeth Stockdale and Nathan Morris
  • Wheat genetics and breeding – Fiona Leigh

AHDB Arable Connections Marquee – open all day

AHDB will provide advice and information on how growers can overcome technical and economic challenges to their businesses. There will be Monitor Farm debates (11.30am and 2.30pm), discussing and bringing to life some of the key issues facing agriculture and how on-farm activities are supporting decision making.
