NIAB runs the largest field crop research operation in England and Wales, with its headquarters at Cambridge and twelve regional centres and over fifty staff directly involved with in-field trialling of crop varieties and inputs. As a result of internal promotions we are currently looking to fill positions in our Eastern region. Those beginning their careers are also encouraged to apply to a company that has a comprehensive development programme and attractive pay and benefits package.

We are looking for Agronomy Trials Technicians to work at our offices in East of England based in Cambridge, Norfolk and Kent.  Should you be passionate about agriculture, but not certain how to get started or what career to choose?  Looking for a role where every day is different?  Join us and you will learn new skills and work hard as part of a small team in a large company with great career progression.

You will have a sound practical knowledge of agriculture, motivated and adaptable enough to work inside and out, with a range of equipment and farm machinery. Some experience of working in field crop trials that includes pesticide application and crop assessment would be beneficial but full training will be provided where necessary.

A full UK driving licence is required for each role as travel around the country to trial sites is required.  These roles are permanent, full-time appointments.   Further details and an online application form are available on our website: or from the HR Office, 93 Lawrence Weaver Road, Cambridge, CB3 0LE, Tel No. 01223 342282, Email:
