NIAB is a dynamic, research led and market driven plant bioscience organisation, with an emphasis on innovative applications for end-users in the agricultural, horticultural and food sectors.

Part of the Communications and Events Team, you will co-ordinate and deliver meetings and events at the NIAB conference centre near Cambridge, alongside assisting in the delivery of other in-house and external events. The role also involves providing administrative support to select Heads of Department within the NIAB Group, including meeting organisation, diary management, procurement, travel bookings, completing expense claims and other tasks as required.

This is an opportunity for someone with either a background in business or events administration, or a new graduate looking for their first step on the career ladder, particularly within the agricultural or plant science sectors. Able to work in a lively, dynamic atmosphere tact and discretion are essential and your excellent communication skills will be invaluable in your dealings with important customers and visitors. You will have skills in Microsoft Office and CRM database programmes, at least to intermediate level. Experience in handling AV/IT equipment preferred. You will be expected to occasionally work outside of normal working hours, with some early evening or weekend work. A full driving licence is essential.

The starting salary will be in the range of £18,532 pa - £20,591 pa, dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.
