An excellent opportunity to join a leading independent, internationally respected plant science organisation.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Temporary Trials Assistant. You will be assisting with all areas of delivering trials for the grant of Plant Breeders Rights on new varieties of herbaceous perennials, shrubs, cut flowers and glasshouse plants. The role will involve the organisation and preparation of the trials, general plant growing tasks, the description and evaluation of plant varieties and general administration.

Based at both our HQ site in Cambridge and our nearby glasshouse complex and growing facilities, you will have a mixture of office-based and outdoor practical work.

A good general level of education and a strong interest in a range of plants are required for this role. An appropriate degree in a relevant biological science and practical experience with plants would be highly advantageous.

In this role good organisational and communication skills are required, as well as an accurate and consistent approach and the ability to be self motivated.

Salary in the range of £16473 to £20591, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
