A Technical Administrator is required to provide support to NIAB's team of Ornamental Crop specialists and also the Head of the Crop Characterisation teams. The successful candidate will be involved in administering all aspects of the DUS testing programme, together with more general functions such as organising meetings and travel. This role is mainly office based at NIAB HQ, Cambridge, with some work at our Park Farm site during the summer months.

Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team within a multi-tasking environment are the most essential requirements, and a good understanding of, and experience with, MS Office programs. You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C (or equivalent), including English and Maths, together with a full driving licence.

Some knowledge of Horticulture or Agriculture and some familiarity with botanical terminology would be advantageous. Starting salary for this full-time post is in the range of £18,213 to £20,237 pa dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.
