NIAB is a leading UK centre for plant science, crop evaluation and agronomy, delivering work from its regional network and headquarters in Cambridge. Our field crop research and impartial information is widely utilised by the agricultural community.

We are seeking a conscientious and enthusiastic person who enjoys a variety of work to join our trials services team at our Headquarters in Cambridge.

You will carry out a range of tasks such as cultivations, drilling, irrigation, spraying, and fertiliser spreading on trial plots and commercial crops. You will be using modern equipment and using Trimble RTK GPS. You will also be required to drive plot combines through harvest and help other teams within the company in field recording, soil assessments and general duties some of which can be physically demanding.

Applicants should have a good standard of education and a full driving licence. Whilst PA1, 2 and 6 spray certificates, Class C licence and Workshop skills would be an advantage, training will be provided for the right candidate to obtain these qualifications.
