The NIAB maintains a large collection of plant pathogens, which are avalible for purchase. Isolates are supplied as a single pathogen slope or an ampule of spores. Larger quantities of inoculum such as that require for the treatment of a field trial are avalible on request.

Primary inoculum can be supplied as follows:

a) Ampoules of freeze-dried spores:

Bean rust
Brown rust of wheat, barley & ryegrass
Crown rust of ryegrass
Leek rust
Stem rust of ryegrass
Yellow rust of wheat1, barley1 & cocksfoot
