As the Programme Leader (Pre-Breeding), I am responsible for the delivery of our current projects and the development of new ideas. Currently we have six projects covering both pharmaceutical, neutraceutical, environmental and bio-energy projects being delivered. In common with most of our project work there is a large amount of collection and evaluation of germplasm, crop improvement principally through plant breeding and the development of good agronomic practices.
