Agronomy Strategy highlights the latest advice and recommendations on agronomy, crop protection and fertiliser programmes, based on NIAB TAG’s extensive trials work and adjusted according to current seasonal conditions. Network members receive four issues a year published at key autumn and spring decision-making times. Agronomy Updates regularly refine the Strategies as the season unfolds.

Variety Advantage includes NIAB TAG’s popular pocket variety guides – Autumn Combinable Crops, Spring Combinable Crops, Potato and Livestock Forage crops – with comprehensive individual variety descriptions based on Recommended and Descriptive List data, combined with essential variety management information in an easy to use format.

The Agronomists Handbook covers all major varieties of UK arable and livestock crops from wheat to lupins, oilseed rape to forage maize. It contains Recommended and Descriptive List information as well as soil type and regional yield performance data, market and seed statistics, and certification regulations.

New Product Guides are independent standalone summaries on each new pesticide that comes onto the market, with performance comparisons to competitor products in NIAB TAG trials and advice from the NIAB TAG team on where it may fit into a crop protection programme.

Mechanisation Quarterly covers all aspects linked to the use of machinery on farm; from cultivations, input applications, and precision farming systems to just focusing on the equipment itself with in-depth articles on topical mechanisation issues.

The Variety Interactions Handbook is an innovative step forward in variety management on-farm, adding value to the traditional Recommended and Descriptive List data by summarising individual variety responses to the grower’s major sowing decisions, e.g. suitable dates, rates, and row spacings in wheat, barley and oilseed rape crops.

Local Trial Results summarises all findings from NIAB TAG’s national agronomy trials network into three separate regional editions for South/West, East and North, allowing NIAB TAG Network members to make informed decisions on crop input programmes based on the latest trials information in their area.
